Not sure where to begin? These short activities offer an accessible starting point for bringing anti-racist approaches into your maths teaching. Each taster activity is taken from one of the three topics explored in the teaching materials.

The teaching materials exemplify how to apply the Anti-racist Maths Framework to 3 topics at 1st – 4th CfE Level. Find out more about working with the materials.

The three self-guided Professional Learning sessions are designed to be used by individual practitioners, groups or whole maths departments. They are appropriate for both primary and secondary settings and combine theory, reflection and practical activities which familiarise teachers with the anti-racism framework and teaching materials in this resource. It is anticipated that each session would last at least 30 minutes and it is suggested they are worked through in order.

The sessions are not designed as a comprehensive anti-racism training package. To further explore anti-racism and develop your practice, contact your local Development Education Centre or check Signposts for Global Citizenship for free twilight training sessions which will be available throughout the session.
